Music Quiz was update several times from the December untill now.

If the changes are not visible at first sight, that’s normal. They concern background processes. But the consequences is Musc Quiz runs faster and is safer.

In addition, we update the application mini-site : Come to discover it.

The next release will be on the market before the end of the month.

The V.1.5 de Music Quiz was upload on the market few minutes ago.

This version adds a team mode (after a solo and a multi-players one).

This team mode is surprising : The aim is not to listen and discover the artist or the song name, because,
it’s not so often that friends get exactly the same musical taste which means know enough about my music to answer the question.

No, that’s something else. All we can say : prepare your voice.

But thenews don’t stop there. We re-work the solo game.

• We change a bit the questions “In what year” and “What song is not sung by”
• We create two more questions.
• These questions are bonus, and you have to be really good to the other game to unlock them.
• We introduce the musical garble notion : on three questions, the music you hears has nothing to see with the answer to give.
• And some questions use now the album art. (If you don’t have many album art, you can still download  “Album Art finder“)

I am finishing with a word about the bugs.

• This version corrects small bugs.
• Two known bugs are still not corrected. We don’t meet them, and we don’t find a way to reproduce them which explains why they are hard to solve.
  But the new version will transmit more specific information about the bugs when the will appear.

Still many improvements for this new Music Quiz release.

The interface changes a lot.
It is more sophisticated and it gains in dynamism but still keeping the original spirit.
We hope you will appreciate it as much as we do. We will polish it in the next weeks.

The multi-players mode makes its apparition. Have fun with it !

The new Music Quiz interface

We take notes about the problems that some of you meet with the application. We are already working on it.

The new version of Music Quiz, a musical quiz for android mobile phone, is available on the market.

The main innovation is the introduction of different kinds of games :

• Timed : 28 secondes to answer correctly to a maximum of questions.
• Suddent death : One mistake, and that’s ended.
• Memory : Listen, find, memorize… And after the last song you have to rember the answer. ( What were the questions ??)
• Infinite : you say Time Killer application ? That’s it

This version introduces other changes :

• Consideration of the all music on your mobile phone (before we only consider the music on the SD Card)
• A better management of the random songs.
• You could save your score, and see it on a Hight Score Screen.
• “Re-worked” user interface

About our two bugs :

• Force to Close :
  Our conclusion is that the application could know a bug after brownsing all your music or if your all music is not correctly tagged and could not be used by Music Quiz.
  We have modify Music Quiz in consequence, hoping now everthing will be find for everybody.

• The same songs come over and over :
  There is three possibilities :
  1. Most of your music is badly tagged and can’t be used by Music Quiz
     [Correction] We add a pop-up to inform you about the music we find on your phone, and the music that can be used.
  2. Most of your music wasn’t on your SD Card but on your phone and Music Quiz didn’t detect
     [Correction] Consideration of the music on your phone and on your SD Card.
  3. The inner random function is badly implements on your phone.
     [Wonderful] That’s worked well on the emulator and on our phone.

And that’s all for today !!!

The launch of the free version has permitted us to have many coments in a very short time.

One commun impression comes to : Music Quiz do not go through all the artists and all the songs.

After mainy tests, we have concluded that if the random function that chooses the songs works correctly, it can give the impression that Music Quiz do not go through all songs.

We have corrected this impression, but doing this we have introduced a bias.

The first Music Quiz’s update is online :

1. New user interface, with mainly an easier and better score and result display.
2. 3 levels of difficulty (Beguiners/Intermediary/Expert)
3. An extra : the possibility to start to listen a song from a random point.

The next version is already planned.
